The SWAPNA'Z Membership Policies establish the terms under which membership is granted, maintained, and where necessary, withdrawn. They exist to protect the integrity of the membership community and to ensure that the SWAPNA'Z member designation continues to mean something of professional value to every practitioner who holds it.
Eligibility for SWAPNA'Z membership is open to individuals who hold a valid SWAPNA'Z Certificate of Proficiency from a completed programme, practising aesthetic professionals whose qualifications and practice standards are assessed as aligned with the institution's values, and invited professional affiliates designated by the institution in specific collaborative contexts. Membership is not open to the general public and is not awarded on the basis of interest alone — it is a curated professional affiliation.
Members are expected to maintain professional conduct consistent with the SWAPNA'Z standard throughout their membership period. This includes responsible clinical communication in all professional and public contexts, accurate representation of their SWAPNA'Z credentials and membership status, continued engagement with evidence-based practice principles, and conduct that does not bring the institution or the profession into disrepute. Membership is not a passive designation — it is an active professional commitment.
Membership is subject to an annual renewal cycle. Renewal confirms the member's continued eligibility, active professional practice, and ongoing alignment with institutional standards. Members who do not complete the renewal process within the specified window are moved to inactive status and may not represent the SWAPNA'Z member designation until renewal is completed.
SWAPNA'Z reserves the right to suspend or withdraw membership in cases of confirmed professional misconduct, misrepresentation of credentials or membership status, conduct inconsistent with the institution's ethical standards, or other circumstances that the institutional governance review determines to be incompatible with continued membership. Suspension or withdrawal is preceded by formal notification and an opportunity for the member to respond through the institutional review process.
Membership fees, where applicable, are communicated at the time of application and confirmed annually at renewal. Fee structures are reviewed periodically and communicated to existing members with a minimum of 30 days' notice before any change takes effect.
